Terms of Use

Version 2026-11-03 · Effective 3 November 2026

These terms cover the Flightline waterfowl map at flightlinemap.pages.dev, made and run by one independent developer in New Hampshire, USA ("we", "us"). By using Flightline or creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Check the official regulations. You are responsible.

Flightline is a reference tool. It is not the law and it is not legal advice.

Before every hunt, you must check:

  • your state's official hunting regulations and its current hunting digest or guide;
  • the federal rules: the federal migratory bird hunting regulations (50 CFR part 20), the federal duck stamp, and your Harvest Information Program (HIP) registration;
  • local ordinances, such as town rules on firearm discharge;
  • the rules of any national wildlife refuge, wildlife management area or other property where you hunt; and
  • posted signs and closures.

The zones, season dates, shooting hours, bag limits, boundaries, closed areas, public land, access points, tides and weather shown in Flightline may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Rules can change during a season.

You alone are responsible for hunting legally and safely, and for knowing where you are. Flightline is not responsible for any citation, fine, penalty, licence action, loss or injury that comes from using it (sections 6 and 7 say more).

Nothing in Flightline gives you permission to enter private land. A spot, a boat launch, a parcel shown as public or conservation land, or anything else on the map does not mean you may go there or hunt there. Get the landowner's permission where it is needed.

1. The service

Flightline is free to use today. You can try the map without an account for a couple of minutes of use; after that, the website asks you to sign in or create a free account to keep using it. We may add, change or remove features, and may add paid features later; anything paid will be clearly marked before you pay for it.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

4. What you add

Your spots, hunt log and feedback stay yours. You let us store, process and display them only to run Flightline for you and keep them in sync. For feedback (messages and screenshots), you also let us use it to understand problems and improve Flightline; we do not publish it or use it for anything else. How we handle this data is in the Privacy Policy.

5. Our content and others'

The Flightline app, its design and its compiled data are ours, all rights reserved. Map tiles, weather, tides, bird sightings, place names and other data come from their providers (for example Esri, the U.S. Geological Survey, Open-Meteo, NOAA, eBird and OpenStreetMap) and remain theirs, under their own terms and credits shown in the app.

6. No warranty

Flightline is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, being up to date, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free service. We do not promise that any zone, season date, shooting hour, bag limit, boundary, closure, access point, tide, forecast or other information in Flightline is correct; the official regulations always come first (see Check the official regulations). It may be unavailable at times, and saved data may be lost; keep your own records of anything important.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for citations, fines, penalties, licence actions, trespass claims, injury or loss arising from your use of Flightline or reliance on its information. Our total liability for any claim about Flightline is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim (zero while it is free) or US$50, whichever is greater. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not apply to you.

8. Third-party services

Sign-in with Google, Facebook or Apple, email delivery, map tiles, weather and the other services Flightline uses are run by other companies under their own terms. Links to other sites, such as Google Maps, Apple Maps, eBird or onX, are provided for convenience.

9. Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the version and date at the top will change, and significant changes will be announced in the app. When the version changes, signed-in users are asked to agree to the new version before they keep using the map. Using Flightline after a change means you accept it. You may stop using Flightline at any time. We may stop offering it; if we do, we will try to give notice in the app so you can download your data first.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.
